Help needed, lesions and white patch/dieback appearing on my Birdsnest

Hello! In need of help, my birdsnest coral has always been relatively hardy and healthy, but lesions appeared on it about two days ago and have grown on the branches. I’d love some advice/help as to what I should do. Pictures attached of the lesions/white area of dieback.

Those are mushrooms nearby, the perspective is strange though. I can guarantee they aren’t touching.

The rest of the birds nest looks healthy (from what I can see). I would probably clip the branch behind the tissue loss.

When healthy, birds nest usually grows super-fast. Assuming yours is otherwise healthy, I would expect that branch to heal very quickly after being clipped.
