Help with cleaning my GHL probes

Hi

it’s time to calibrate my sensors, so I thought I would thoroughly clean them first. I did a bit of googling and came across this from ghl support. Can some explain

1) what strength of those solution or is it all the same?

2) what is the ratio of hydrochloric acid to pepsin solution?

“For cleaning probes you need 2 things:

1.hydrochloric acid + pepsin solution (cleaner for probes, some good sortet dealer will have it)
2. 3-molare KCl-solution (good for regerneration and storage when not used)

put your probes 24h in solution one, rinse with water and put it 24h in solution two rinse again.
Than the probes should look like new.”

I have done the Vinegar and RODI water, and Citric Acid. I do this as a 50/50.

Citric Acid I have mixed up because I use it on my pumps go clean them. 3/4 cup to one gallon of RODI water.

HCL is overkill for probe cleaning.
Vinegar and water is enough.

Old thread I know, but is there a definitive statement on probe cleaning?

I use Hanna Ph probe cleaning solution for the pH and Redox Probes which I assume is okay.

Can I use the same solution to clean the Conductivity Probe or should I use Vinegar/Water 50/50?
The conductivity probe is getting a little fouled and appears to be affecting the reading. Before now I've just wiped it with water.

Yes, either way is fine.

Be careful when cleaning the conductivity probe. The two prongs at the tip must not be bent or damaged in any way during cleaning.
