I stumbled across this one on social media and thought it was a great example of a way to simply and minimally aquascape a nano. Literally just a small pile of rocks, but it checks a lot of boxes.

  • Uses a simple, main triangle shape
  • Rule of thirds is obvious on every axis
  • No oversized boulders, arches, or stacks
  • Lots of of negative space
  • Created one small channel, which is partially obscured from the front view
  • Coral choices are all small growth forms, no giant LPS or 'nems plunked in there to ruin the scale
  • Consistent colors, not one of everything collectoritis
  • Used a few basic rocks that everyone has access to, no advanced techniques or even gluing
