They resemble squamosas. Maybe that's what you saw.

Wow you have no faith in me at all, [emoji58]. Lol jk These clams resemble a rock more than anything , their mantle does not extend past the shell, and the shape is much more boxy than any other clam. Also they are usually not as impressive as maximas derasas or squamosas, if I see one at AC again, I'll try to post a pic.

Hippopus Hippopus seem to be widely available of late, I have one and they looks almost identical to Hippopus porcellanus.
