Hello all,
Yeah listen. I know you are trying to keep them alive. I know you would want one. If I could get them off the rocks I would give them away but I can't.

"Tickle their foot with an ice cube!" "Just point a powerhead at them!" Like I've tried all that. I have 50 plus separate RBTAs in my tank and they are killing my SPS. They are basically Aptasia but without all the convenient solutions available to get rid of them.

Like in this photo alone they have damaged or killed 4 different SPS.

I've tried:
Manual removal, rock structure is solid and not really an option to remove it.
Hacking at them, literally doesn't brother them. I've created a RBTA eden. I can cut them off at the foot and they just regrow in a week.
Injecting with Kalk paste, again annoyed but not killed.
Injecting with Hydrogen Peroxide, annoyed but not killed.

At this point I considered a tank teardown. This was not a popular choice in the house.

Is there any technics I am unaware of?

Any fish that like to nibble them?

A magic nudibranch I am unaware of?

Nem bazooka.
Pvc pipe placed over anemone and angled up, not pointing directly at light.
The nem sees the light at the end of the tunnel and moves toward it. Place a sponge cut into a donut at the nem end to aid in shadowing, blocking light at nem.
Theres a thread here about it.
Found by some divers harvesting nems for sale.

Powerhead aimed right at their base will get them to release but it can take 30+ minutes. Bazooka idea below is interesting, I’ve never done it but seems like it would also work.

Here’s the nem cannon listed above

Also, though I haven’t tried, maybe put some rubble around their base and see if they’ll climb into it

Just grow it: Have you ever added CO2 to your reef tank?
