How long does the Reef Breeders V2+ remote take to charge once it dies?

Bought a reef breeder v2+ 2nd hand and the remote is dead. It’s been charging for hours now and it’s still not coming on. The fixture works and the charging cable is good. Any thoughts??

Even after a hour it should have low battery and come on

The battery is insane on these. A full charge lasts 6+ months for me and I use it multiple times every day
