I made the bottle with the neck putting inwards like many people do, but it's been 2 days and I've caught nothing but hermit crabs that got trapped in there. Looks like my pistol shrimp is too smart. The rockwork is too much of a pain to remove so I don't wanna go that route. Any other trick? Or should I wait a little longer on the bottle trap?

Short of dismantling your rocks I don't know of anything else.

Purely out of curiosity, why are you trying to trap it?

I couldn't imagine trying to catch mine, the goby and pistol hide for weeks at a time.
Good question. He's been making a havoc in my tank. For the last few weeks there's not a single day he doesn't dig all the sand and makes my tank cloudy. Corals have been covered in dust. I've had him for 4 (maybe 5) years and he never bothered the whole tank like this time. I wanted to move him to my 20gal frag tank.
