Is a ATI 24"x 6 T5 plus 2 - 24" Blue Reef Brite enough for a 30x30x16 tank?

Hi,

Im looking to buyer a light for the new tank I'm building which is a 3x30x16. Im trying to do a LED/T5 combo and seeing if a ATI 24" x 6 and 2 Blue Reef Brites would give off enough par to grow SPS and LPS corals.

Also Any recommendations would be helpful.

On a 3’ long tank, a 36” T5 fixture would be best.

30” is pretty wide you may need more LED bars or even 2 T5 fixtures for even coverage.

Yeah I agree if I had a 3' long tank I would 100% do a 36" T5 but with 30" I was seeing if maybe 24" would be okay. What do you mean when you say 2 T5 fixtures im a little confused.

My mistake, I see the thread title dimensions. The original post say 3x30x16.

24” T5 will be fine.
That’s a wide tank , 2 smaller T5 fixtures might give you more even coverage if you are going for wall to wall corals.

Most decent LED bars equal about 1.5 T5s so you’re in essence talking about 9 T5s over a 30” area which is plenty.

May want to grab some extra bulbs as they are becoming harder to come by

Now that I'm thinking about it with he footprint of 30x30 the ATI Straton fits it perfect. As much as I want to do a T5/ LED combo this Straton may be too good to pass up. Thoughts?
