Tank is 1 yr old. It has always been 0 nitrate after ugly phase (i never had any luck with raising nitrate with more feeding). I assume this is dino? i have 4 fish, gsp, toodstool, anemone, snails and a clam. no skimmer, no macro algae. I have started dosing nitrate, but if i would do a blockout, anyone of these lifestock should i be concerned? (i dont have a quarantine tank :( )

Thanks

Likely yes. But best to get a sample and put it under a microscope for sure to see what type of Dino you are dealing with.

Safe bet cause some Dino’s are toxic, make sure you run carbon til you verify what dinoflagellate you are dealing with.

Also check out “Mack’s dinoflagellate support group” on Facebook and they are extremely helpful
