Beautiful tank. I love the stand too. Gave me a couple of ideas on the next tank build that I do.

I also feel the pain of having a low tank. I am 6'3" and started off with an inherited BioCube and that was a pita.

Killer Cube Jackson! I was thinking of doing the SAME thing with a booster but I had nightmares of it falling over or whatever do you have build pics of the stand? How is it connected/re enforced through the bottom? Saw this on facebook and really interested...

I look forward to seeing what you come up with :0

Yea man I'm just as tall. It never made sense to me to have look down display tanks.

Awesome tank

Thanks :)

The stand is very solid and heavy, built on reclaimed maple. The booster section is very heavy, the stand simply rests on top of it. No way it can fall over.

Thanks! Things in this reef balanced much quicker than any reef I have run before. I can only attest this to the various bacterias being dosed.
Dom's setup is awesome. I have to check back on his thread for updates.

Funny because I was just posting on your thread lol. I'm using a sfiligoi xr6 fixture with 2 blue reef brites added. If I was you I would retrofit everything because you would get much more light/spread. I would use a full size lumatek reflector with 4 T5's overdriven, alone with some type of blue LED. It would be surprisingly efficient since you only run the halide 4-5 hrs per day.
