The monti cap started from a piece I found broken in the back of my tank. When I finally had to get rid of it, it was about 2 ft across aqnd 1.5ft wide.
These two encrusting montis were from tiny frags of about 3/4 in.
This is last year. Still have this toadstool. Now is about 14" diameter. From a tiny little thing of 1" or so. Here is the baby pic.

Wow! That is impressive! How long did it take to grow that efflo?Not my biggest ever but one I'm quite proud of. My $500 Efflo grown from a booger Frag smaller than a pencil eraser.
Here it is when breaking down the tank.
About 8 years.
