Hey guys.
I'm currently upgrading to a slightly bigger tank. I put some water in the overflow box to test it for leaks and there is a leak coming from my return lines. Only at the threads where the white part go into the black part.
All the pipes are glued alrety so I can't disassemble.
Any solutions?
The return lines are the outer 2 and you can see the ring of water.

If the leak is at the glued seam, then you are screwed.
I have never heard of a repair that can be done in a glued seam, especially on the return ( pressurized ) line.
I saw a thread a while back where someone was able separate glued fittings, but not sure how effective it was or if it could be done in tight quarters.

If the leak is coming down from above ( the overflow box holes) then maybe trying to tighten the bulkhead nut a little more.
Make sure the gasket is on the water side.

It looks like the two outer Bulkheads are threaded. Did you use thread sealant or teflon tape on those?

I thought he said everything was glued?
With some effort (I would think considerable) he could loosen the 2 (threaded) bulkheads remove from the top (inside overflow) and add sealant and re-thread…. This is exactly why I dont use threaded bulkheads anymore. I recommend glued slip Bulkheads.

I’m going to grab another beer. It won’t stop those threads from leaking but it’s going to help me feel better.

Well I got the tank up and running. I got the leak to the occasional drip. Luckily it all just drips right back into the sump.
I can also say that I have now had all 3 types of filter. Canister, aio and sump.
