" weather reports and from what I read, tuesday for wednesday might be the best bet. There's only going to be isolated storms on tuesday and tuesday night calls for cloudy conditions. It's memphis nights you have to worry about. That's when the packages arrive there, get sorted and sent back out.

Tomorrow night: Partly cloudy skies during the evening will give way to cloudy skies overnight. Low 72F. Winds S at 10 to 20 mph."

I might give it a go.

This morning I received my corals I bought from this "Leaving with a bang" thread.

First of all there was an excellent communication via PM with him. He kept me updated with the day of shipping, the eventual delay because of the predicted storms in the area up to the tracking number from FedEx.

Shipping and handling was top notch!
The box had a big heater pack inside and drilled holes for ventilation. All corals were tripple bagged, heat sealed and there was a protection foil around the corals to prevent them from rubbing against the bags.

AND most important
The corals look exactly as pictured in his thread and are very healthy.
The OME looks wonderful as well as the others. The "freebie" was a nice surprise!!

Thanks for keeping me up with who things arrieved on your end!
I was really worried about that big OME, glad and relieved it made it!
Shipping always tricky with chalices, and it was first time shipping big colony for me.
Mike from Sexy Corals and Dan from Wet Thumb Frags are the one's deserving thanks. They PMed, texted, emailed all their skills, would not have made this sale happen if I didn't get advice from them!

Yes, corals are sensitive to change in environment, and shipping gives them lot of stress.
FexEx people just threw the box in front of me with all those "handle with care" on the box, I couldn't believe my eyes!!!!
Once again, thank you for giving advice as to how I can make packaging better, I will follow your advice.
