the tank im running the radion on is a 24x24x24 60 gallon cube. I've augmented the radiant color program so that the blues are at a higher percentage in the morning running at 80 percent also have rainbow bubble tip anemone and various lps on the bottom. the coral farm local to me also runs this program on theyre g3 radions and love them.

I dont have lights yet for my new build and have never used radion. Is the radiant color program a basic program you can set the light on?

Hey guys, I thought I would share my new light set up. I have been running this config for the past 3 months and am extremely pleased with the results. My tank is 72"x30"x24". I have 3 Hamilton 60" two bulb units and 3 gen 3 pro Radions. At first my plan was to only run 2 Hamilton retrofits on each side of the row of Radions, but I figured since I am doing a SPS dom tank another retrofit couldn't hurt. Another reason I added the 3rd hamilton retrofit is because I have been extremely apprehensive about relying too much on LEDs, only because many hobbyists here on the forums have switched back to T5's from LEDs and from hearing a couple horror stories from local reefers. So as of now the Radions are used as "supplemental" light; I use scare quotes around the word supplemental because (1) many of you will think I am totally insane for spending so much on Radion's just for supplemental lighting and (2) I actually plan on ramping up my Radion's intensity over time with hopes of using LEDs as my main light source.

T5 Bulbs from Left to right: Blue +, Fiji Purple, Geisman Pure Actinic, Blue +, (ROW OF RADIONS), Blue +, ATI Actinic

Light Schedule
3:00pm: Radions turn on at 8% intensity on Deep Blue Preset
3:15pm: 2 T5 bulbs turn on (Middle unit)
4:00pm: Radions increase to 13% intensity on Deep Blue Preset
4:30pm: 4 T5 bulbs turn on (Far left and right units)
5:00pm: Radions increase to 15% intensity on 20k Preset (15% intensity is the highest I have gone so far)
9:30pm: 4 T5 bulbs turn off (Far left and right units)
9:45pm: Radions decrease to 13% intensity on Deep Blue Preset
10:30pm: Radions decrease to 8% intensity (slowly ramp down and shut off at 11pm)
11:00pm: ALL lights off.

im running three radion g3 pros and just ordered 2 80w t5 retros to add to it. mainly because the growth is good but coloration is a little on the weak side.

Hey guys,

I had a pair of upgraded Gen 3s over my 120 and just wasn't in love with the look and the growth I was getting. I gutted an old 8 Bulb Tek light and mounted the Radions. I added to fans that are above the T5 reflectors to help keep the fixture cool. I am running a modified version of the Radiant Color template on ESL and I run the T5 for 4 hours at peak from 12-4. I am absolutely in love with the color and the growth that I am getting now:

They peak at 90%, I ran them on an extended acclamation period when I first upgraded from Gen 1, then again when I added the T5s
