Hello! Just checking to see what you guys think about these live rock. I purchased them from another reefer. I’ve been storing them in a container for a little over a month. Questions I have:

1. Just noticed little white dots -issue?

2. I got them this way but why are the top 2 rocks completely different colors?

3. Any thing I can be doing while waiting for my main tank to be done, such as dosing nutrients?

Too far away to tell what the white dots might be.
The color on the rock can be different corailine algaes.
Throw in some fish food or a table shrimp. Something for the bacteria to eat.

I suspect spirobid worms, can't tell from the pics. Take a turkey baster to them and see if they blow off. If they blow off, not spirobids. They are good for your tank to a point.

You'll have to get some macro shots.

So like ghost feed? How long should I leave the shrimp in there for?

Until your ready to move the rock into your display tank. It will decay and there might not be anything left
