Hi there. I just wanted to tell you about my issues setting up a diy turf scrubber. First thing. I drilled holes on the spray bar instead of cutting a slit. The water was only running down the mesh in 10 straight lines no matter how much flow was provided. I made a new bar with a slit cut with a cut off wheel. It worked but needed tons of flow to function. I have 1 1200 gph pump with a manifold. So my flow to my dt was almost non existent. I ditched the slit bar and went back to the drilled one. I am now using 2 mesh screens zip tied together and running the water between them. It completely saturates everything and I'm not using much water at all! I will post some updates on the growth in a couple weeks. I still need to get new lights and enclose it. I'm not running it yet because it might spray.
