I got a good size LTA today and I was wondering what I schould do to help him find a spot he likes where he's not blowing around in the current all the time
If attached leave the anemone be unless it's in danger from wandering into power heads. An anemone will find it's own spot.
If unattached you can place the anemone in a lower flow area, place a strawberry basket it over it or take a wide diameter pvc pipe and place the base/foot in the pvc.
How deep is your sand bed, and LTA should have a nice 2 inch sand bed.
I had the same problem. I first dug a little hole in the sand then I took some smaller rocks and tryed to wedge them around it till it so it would keep it from rolling around. Once it took hold I removed the rocks and it was good to go.
I can tell u from experience he will do his own thing . I tried everything to get him to plant . In the end I said ok I'm done and a week later he planted himself lol. By the way they do not like a lot of flow like other nems
dig a hole down to bottom of the tank and place the nem in the hole and turn flow down and it should latch on to bottom o tank this all i did not moved in 3 weeks slowy turn flow back up
DOnt do anything with it... when it is ready it will come out and roam around again.
I have 2 LTA's... One stays put on the glass of the front bottom corner where there is very little to no flow, and the other one roamed all the way to the top of my 30 gal tank into the full flow of the return pump...LOL I do not know why, but some reason he likes it there.
My clown fish decided he would rather nest with the tuxedo urchin then the LTA I got him... stupid fishy
