Fortunately, still minimal nutrients due to the scrubber and fuge.
Everyone is fat and happy, but I might have to re home the hippo in 2 or 3 years if she keeps growing like a weed.
Fox face looks huge as well

Apologizes to all but I am not a photographer. I got a new TG 5 camera and tried out some shots. I am super happy with the quoyi, it is a great fish. I will do a bunch of tank shots. I also finished the stand skin refit and plumbing this weekend. I also cleaned out and refilled the CalRx. I also finished the reworking of the sump. I got 2 new aquacultured maximas. I built a cradle for the larger maxima. Really love the quoyi and how the tank is doing right now. Also enjoying my bellus. @Battlecorals , your frags are growing like weeds.

I changed the barb to a street 90 and let it drip into the downward flow baffle before the return. I am ordering some clear pvc so I can stop the air intrusion but still keep an eye on the drip.

Got 2 clams in from Pacific East Aquaculture, was late tonight drip acclimating. I will get some pics tomorrow and get the shot of the kalk stirrer plumbing. I have started to use the reef welder polymer to make enlarged stabilized clam hammocks for the cultured maximas. I don't know how they will work long term, but I will take some shots with the clams.

Here are a couple shots. The first is how I had it, the second with the new clear pvc to cut down on air intrusion.

Thanks to @geo for the help with my CalRx. after adding my peristaltic pump I was getting massive air chopping in both pushing and pulling configurations. Now I am using the filter recommended by @Battlecorals to filter the water coming off my manifold to slightly pressurize the reactor and use the peristaltic pump to pull a set amount of effluent. Right now I am doing 3 ml/min out of the kalk stirrer and 35 ml/min out of the CalRx.

Here are the new clams I hope to get some good pics tomorrow. Tonight I had my hands full messing with the reactor plumbing.

Got some great clams from Pacific East Aquaculture. They join a couple I already had from Tahiti. P5010001.JPG P5010002.JPG P5010004.JPG P5010005.JPG P5010006.JPG P5010008.JPG I have built some modified hammocks to try and keep everything upright, lol with only moderate success.

Everything doing well except one orange setosa. Some clam shots too. Quoyi parrotfish is doing great two weeks in, eating like a hog.

This one is going to be slow in developing but I have my 45 jbj and 13.5 evo in the meantime. I will be selling the 45 once this is up and running.
I found an amazing deal on Craigslist for a 180 reef savvy, with stand, canopy, sump, protein skimmer, reef beeder photon v1, return pump rock and sand for under half of what the tank alone would be.
I have 90 pounds of acid washed, bleached pukani and shelf rock cooking. I also plan to incorporate my main structure from my 45 into the scape.
Eventually, the plan is for a geosreef dual chamber calcium reactor, a deltec skimmer, and a fuge with cheato, marine pure, and one of Turbo Aquatics either L2 or L4 turf scrubbers for main filtration with a carbon and gfo dual reactor for problems or emergencies.
I am going to try and go for photon v2's without T5 supplementation. The plan is for 4 24" fixtures perpendicular to the length of the tank.
Flow will be provided by 2 maxspect gyre 130's with advanced controller. I will also have 2 coral box quiet pumps.
The stock will be a transfer of everything in my 45 which is:
Melanurus wrasse
Possum wrasse
Solarensis wrasse
Yellow wrasse
Black oscellarus clown
Neon goby
Yellow watchman goby
Rainford goby
To the existing stock, I want to add:
Purple tang
Foxface
Small anthias school
Yellow headed jawfish
Lineatus wrasse
Exquisite wrasse
Flame wrasse

Current Stock List:
Bartlett anthias
4 Dispar anthias
3 Lyretail anthias
Sunburst anthias
Bluespotted watchman goby
3 rainford goby
2 neon goby
2 yellowhead jawfish
Firefish
Foxface
Kole tang
Blue Hippo tang
Orangespot rabbitfish
Bellus angel female
Frostbite clown
Black ocellaris clown
Pintail wrasse
Melanarus wrasse
Yellow wrasse
Moyeri leopard wrasse
Solarensis wrasse
Lineatus wrasse
Tanaka possum wrasse
Bluestreak Cleaner wrasse
I have a flame, crescent tail and exquisite on my wish list to cap off my fairy wrasse population.
I also want to try a copperband but I haven't had much luck. I am keeping my fingers crossed that a qt'd copperband and exquisite wrasse as coming from Humblefish soon.
Inverts:
3 sea cucumbers
3 blood shrimp
1 cleaner shrimp
2 peppermint shrimp
hermits, blue leg, scarlett and mexican red leg
Trochus snails
dwarf ceriths
ceriths
nerites
nasarius
2 conch
tuxedo urchin
4 aquacultured tridacna maximas
Current Equipment List:
4 24" reefbreeder photon v2's
2 Maxspect gyre 250s
2 reefbreeder rp-26s
Clarisea 5000 filter roll with ebay fleece
Deltec 1660 skimmer
Turbo L4 algae turf scrubber
Viparspectra 300 watt fuge grow light
2 cobalt neotherm 150 watt heaters, I know it's small but I live between Ft Lauderdale and Miami, I doubt these things ever run lol.
2 jebao 10000 pumps, 1 return 1 manifold
2 kamoer peristaltic pumps, 1 for calrx and 1 for kalk stirrer
Avast K1 calc stirrer, hopefully early April according to BRS
Geosreef 612 calrx with 415 secondary reactor controlled by ph probe on apex
Apex 2016 with 2 EB32, and 1 EB 8
Thanks for sharing, comrade

I found a small female flame wrasse and she is currently in an acclimation box. Hopefully I am able to release her in a day or so.
I unfortunately lost one of the clams but the other 3 are great. I was able to get a dream clam, a blue squammy from POTO. I am really stoked about it. I have just sent in an ATI test, as I had an orange setosa partially strip and a couple of bases pale out. I think it was from having my alk accidentally hit 10 after I changed my CalRx media. I have it back to 9 to 9.3 and hopefully everything recovers. I sent in the ICP just to be safe.

Something is off, I sent off an ICP a couple of weeks ago. I have some tissue recession and some color is off. I don't see any contaminants and I checked all magnets and pumps. My alk is about 1 dkh higher than I like it, but we will see if things straighten out. If not I will do a 100-150 gallon w/c and see if that helps. I am attaching the ICP just to see if there is something I am missing. All in all still getting PE and clams look good. All fish in good shape. This one is a stumper.

I am guessing whatever it was, was a blip. I added some carbon to run for 7 days. Hopefully everything reverses.
Something surprising happened, my lineatus wrasse had some streaks down one side of his body, but there were no marks or signs of disease on any other fish. I was stumped.

P5220004.JPG P5220005.JPG P5220006.JPG

Last night I found out why, apparently this moron has decided to flash and charge the quoyi parrotfish, who incidently is about 2 1/2" larger than him and has a razor sharp beak. Everything I read is that they are bullied by blennys and gobies but apparently mine has a set of stones because they tussled and I saw a new streak and a purple scale floating by.
He seems to be ok, no infection and still eating like a pig and the parrot just chases if he gets super close, so I will have to keep an eye out to see if it escalates. The parrot leaves everyone else totally alone.
Got an awesome pre quarantined and frozen eating CBB from @Humblefish. It is eating like a champ. The flame wrasse is doing well and getting alone with everyone.
This weekend is going to be taking apart and cleaning pumps and doing some Memorial Day weekend bbq. The clams also seem to all be expanding and happy.
