My Macroalgae seems like its dying, new growth has turn whitish.

Has it gone sexual or something else like lack of nutrients?

This tank is a cycled tank without corals yet. nitrates are around 20-40ppm and phosphates are around 0.6-1 ppm. Light is strong freshwater plant light.

If so what should i do?

I have read before that to high of phosphate can stop chaeto growth, maybe that's true on caulerpa too? I had my caulerpa prolifera sort of slowing down on growth when my phosphates get to high or at least I thought so. No problems with cyano or gha with those phosphates?

From a macro algae expert that said that I have a lack of phosphate

He said that turf algae wouldn't grow much if theres very low phosphate

Which seems like the case since turf algae didn't grow in my ugly stage

The the new growth turning whitish, is a sign of your macro algae growing fast. It will turn green in color after it matures.

It has already withered away

The new growth is too white to be good

I can definitely say its phosphates

What level is your phosphate at?
using my test kit i estimate its around 0.01ish ppm

The macro algae and few other macroalgae had died off so the phosphates bit higher now will be letting it sit and test on saturday to see if the phospates still low
