Hey guys,

Does anyone have this coral and successfully colored it up?

I have a small colony of it, and only the tips are slight yellow. The rest of the coral is brown. I never had luck coloring up this coral in the past.

Am I missing something? @jda

It’s one of my favorite corals.

It might need some time and to grow out.

There is no guarantee that any Mari coral has lineage to something with a name. For example, I would be shocked if a real TCK Picachu made it to the South Pacific and into the ocean to grow. They likely found something similar and then just fragged it up, put it on plugs and then grew it and stuck the name on it. I would not compare this coral to a real TCK Picachu.

Thank you so much, Jda.

At first it looked exactly like yours. I raised it for 1-2 months until it grew a new branch, then cut it and raised that new branch separately.
