I know my micro bubbles are coming from my return because process of elimination and turning things off has led to that conclusion but I can’t figure out why, there are no bubbles in my sump so not sure what’s causing it.

Might be that you have low water level in your sump? If the water level in the return chamber is low, then your pump will suck in bubbles. No noise, same level I have always have had pump is totally submerged.Might be that you have low water level in your sump? If the water level in the return chamber is low, then your pump will suck in bubbles. Cavitation as it's called.
