OK, well here we go! Finally got around to starting this thread. My wonderful wife (along with some help from Ocala Aquariums, and some sneaky friends) surprised me with a 300gal Deep Dimensions Tank, stand amd canopy for my birthday. Now we are slowly acquiring everything we need to get it up and running. The first thing I did was build a riser for the stand. The stand was only 29" tall and I didnt like how short it was. I made an 8" riser for it, to bring the stand up to 37". Here is the stand construction.

Very nice set up.. It's even better when you get your wife's approval as well.. I find that always helps..

Next I added the blue background and also blacked out the corner overflows. All of it was done with vinyl from a local graphics shop.

I ordered a custom sump 60" x 16" x 17", which should add about 40 or so gallons of water volume to the system. I still have to add the baffles for the skimmer, refugium, bubble trap etc.

I plan on using 3 reactors, 1 for each; carbon, GFO, and biopellets. I just got the NextReef MR1 reactor the other day. I currently have a 2 Little Fishes PhosBan reactor on my 125, but I am not sure if I am going to use it on the new tank. I am debating on using all NextReef....

awesome tank, this is gonna be a beautiful reef...

the MR-1 reactors are great, little word of advice though,go with 3 individual reactors...I purchased the duel chamber MR-1 and love the sleekness of having my GFO and Gac in a 1 piece unit but it is a pain having to clean both chambers at the same time, the singles like you have there is much easier to work with

Thanks for the advice Redtop... I didn't think of that. That is probably what I am going to do.
