Do you think they will grow into one or heal into two smaller scolys glued together? I mean will the flesh grow together?

They should heal up into one Scoly. The question is wether or not some of the color will transfer into each half...That's the benchmark for success with a grafted coral. The initial healing should be pretty quick. We'll keep updating!

This is really freaking cool! I am following along and awaiting great success.

Assuming the original scoly's are $200ish what will these grafted scoly's go for?

How far are you thinking the colors will bleed over into the other half?

I'm asking questions because I'm excited! Lol

Intersting question...the color transference, if it occurs, will be very slight. We're not really sure just how extensive it will be! As far as pricing, we'll have to review that when these guys are ready. They were not $200 range Scolys to begin with, but with the "labor" and "uniqueness" of the process, they might be in that price range now. We'll see. First things first!

If the process works, we'll try more and more cool stuff like this...Let's keep our fingers crossed!

Very cool! Doing the grafts of fourths would be very cool as well. Thanks for sharing this process with us :)
