Update time!

New additions are an Azure damsel, and a small zoa frag once it's healed (it will be added later, but I'm including it in total cost) . I don't have pictures of the frag just yet.

My total so far is $25.61 before I get a FMV for the Monti.

I still haven't decided fully what I'll do with this tank. Of course, I'd love a zoa paly garden, but does anyone else have suggestions?

Sorry about not updating this build everyone. I was preparing for my Ph.D. qualifying exam that I just finished last Wednesday. I have been taking time for myself since then.

The mini bow is coming along nicely. I've been performing regular weekly water changes, added an hydor mini korralia power head and added a few corals here and there. I'm really enjoying this tank because I get to care a little bit less about what goes in there. I mean...I care, but no where near the extent I do when it comes to my display 30 rimless.

Here is a complete list of what is in the tank. If I miss something please let me know!

Animals:(These are all listed in the receipts I have posted, but perhaps under different names. The prices will help identification if needed.)

*Red People Eaters - $5.00
*Orange Palys - $6.50
*Turbo snail x2 - $1.38
*Red tip hermit x4 - $3.96
*Eagle eyes, Fire & Ice zoa and a misc zoa - $15.24
*Chilli pepper monti frags x3 - $60.00 (Given FMV)
*Damsel - $2.72
*Sunset Supernova zoa frag - Awaiting FMV
*Cloves - Awaiting FMV
*Orange mushroom - Awaiting FMV
*Reverse prism favia frag - Awaiting FMB

That's my total money spent so far on the build.

Without further boring stuff, here are the pictures. I apologize in advance for the purple that shows up. The OR fixture is difficult to work with.

Figured I would give an update. The tank is moving along well. I don't really touch it except to perform a water change once a week or to add coral.

One note though, I ended up adding a tailspot blenny a few days ago because I caught him nipping at a clam in my display. It will be his new home.

I'll he getting a FMV on him soon. I. Still waiting on the other items listed above also, but so far my total is $147.24.

Here's da photos! New hammer colony in the first pic!

It's been a little while since I have updated.

The only thing I added was my tailspot blenny from my 30 gallon system. He nipped St a clam too much, so he had to have a new home.

I am really enjoying just letting this tank settle in. I am no where near as picky about it as I am the bigger 30 and I think I'll be happier for it.

Enjoy the pictures, but I'm sorry they're not edited well. The leds make it looks very purple and for the life of me I can't get it out with snapsneed.

Some more photos. One I tried to edit more. Turned out on I guess. It really helped pull out the green stem of the hammer coral.

The only thing filter wise I have changed is adding Chemipure Elite to the HOB. I'm hoping to order an aquahub ATO soon so I can't enjoy the tank even more.

My little tank my not be the most creative you see in this competition, but I certainly enjoy it, in that it is requiring minimal effort on my part to look as beautiful as I think it does. . I cannot wait to see it covered with zoas and palys.

Tank looks great! I don't know if anyone told you yet, but the $500 budget is for corals only and there is no price limit on fish and clean up crew.

Thanks! Right, that is all that has been reflected in my money spent so far.

Also, no picture update, but I'm treating the tank with chemiclean currently. No algae outbreak, but I've read it can be beneficial for zoanthids. I will upload pictures tonight!

I knew you'd ask. Which is why they aren't here. Jk, they'll be here tomorrow afternoon. I forgot about taking them.

Alright, update time....

Here is my list so far; I'm still waiting on a few things, but should be finished with the total price soon.

*Red People Eaters - $5.00
*Orange Palys - $6.50
*Eagle eyes, Fire & Ice zoa and a misc zoa - $15.24
*Chilli pepper monti frags x3 - $60.00 (Given FMV)
*Sunset Supernova frag - $16.00 @ $4 pp (Given FMV)
*Cloves - Awaiting FMV
*Orange Mushroom - $30.00
*Reverse Prism Favia - $30.00
*Hammer Coral - $52.44
___________

Total : $215.18

Thank you Art_z37 for the reminder about coral only pricing. I have fixed it.

The tank is having a bit of rough patch. A frag of palys are having trouble and a few montis seem stressed. I am unsure what the cause is at the moment, but I'm sure they'll pull through since everything is in line with the parameters.
