I can't see a second layer to the crown or a spiral at all, but if you can then that'd raise the chances of it being a Christmas Tree Worm. Is it growing out of a coral? Or out of a tube/rock?
It's growing out of a tube. I'm going to look through my album and see if I have a better pic. I'll also try and get a more detailed set of pics with different angles tomorrow.

I haven't been able to get better pics of the "Christmas Tree" worm in question. I have however captured a few other things that have me curious.

what the heck is this thing?!

From what I can see of the tentacles there, I'd say probably an anemone, but a better pic would definitely help with that one.
I got a clearer pic of this thing. Anemone? Species? Good or bad?!
It looks to be firmly attached to the rock. If it'sbad, I'll have to smother it with epoxy.

Plus a couple videos. I'm going to try and use that channel to post more videos so I can easily share here.

And that worm thing!

Probably a ribbon worm (Nemertean) of some kind, but seeing its proboscis everted could confirm that. Ribbon worms are predatory. They hunt using toxins they secrete through their skin and proboscis - don't touch them barehanded:

"Certain nemertean species are known to contain remarkably potent toxins: pyridine alkaloids, tetrodotoxin (TTX), and cytolytic or neurotoxic peptides."*

(For the record, tetrodotoxin is what makes pufferfish lethal when ingested).

Anyway, if it's a big one, you would want to remove it.

Sorry, posted early - yeah, that's an anemone (not sure the species at the moment, sorry), and the other thing is a bivalve (like clams, mussels, oysters, scallops) - harmless filter-feeder.
