Excellent COLOR, can you share the lighting specs? leds or MH?

Thanks Stinger!! Am actually using Tek Light T5 48" 6X54watt with (4) Sfiligoi 20K & (2) KZ 14K New Generation. I also use (2) 4ft LED string similar to the one that you can get from ebay as a Dusk & Dawn Lighting.

Thanks, I am in the process of a retrofit with 2x250w lumen max MH, 2x galaxy ballast , w/2 x 20k radium's. I was wanting to add 2x LED strings on each side and make a dusk to dawn like you have. My tank is 4FT long but limited 18 inches wide.

Your welcome! my display tank is also only 18" wide. Space permitting you might want to checkout the Reefbridge LED strip.

for the most part I shoot with aperture priority regardless of the lens that I use. 100 ISO (i know i know ppl always say shoot at about 400 - well i'll let you be the judge of that one), definitely a tri-pad and one's your happy with your picture try under exposing it just a little bit and then you'll get what your really looking for.

I have played around the white balance before but for the most part I just shoot with auto / raw.

As per the black background 95% of my photos were taken during the night time with no ambient lighting, this should do the trick for you as well!
