Trident reagents last about 2 months if stick to the standard testing schedule which I think is 2 times a day. A 6 month supply is just over $100. So reagent is about $18 a month to test ALK, CALC, and MG..... plus the time you get back from your life which is always in short supply . Obviously that doesn't include the initial cost of the unit itself, but those are the numbers on the reagents.I have been looking into this as well. Would love to have more of my testing automated. Should also probably set up my doser again sometime. But I am out of usable outlets on the wall my reef is on. The big 2 that come to mind are Trident (apex) and Hydros. The new Hydros looks pretty cool but I am wondering how much reagent both of those use and what the break even point would be versus buying the refills for my manual test kits.
It was a meme, but I'm no narc.did i miss something ?

I kinda feel like this is similar to buying a phone charger at a gas station It may work.... but it could ruin the device.ABC reagents for the win! I get a 6 month supply for $60 it works great!
