a big six line would put up a fight but if you happen to get an aggressive mystery, i cant imagine it fighting hard enough.

the helfrici no idea. I traded my Mystery for a helfrici.

My Mystery took out a 5-6" powder blue.

I loved them and I hated them, they are very beautiful with striking color is almost
like painted on. My mystery is about 3" I said they can grow up to 4".
BEWARD if you have small cleaner shrimp, as mystery wrasses established
themselves they "will" eat them. That what happened to all my peppermint and cleaner.

Mine gets it handed it him whenever the tiny tang feels the need.

My mystery is only about 2.5" while my tang is the size of a dollar coin.

Doesn't bother anyone in the tank including all the peppermints and glass shrimp.

My mystery wrasse ate all my hermit's and shrimp, but left my snails alone, where as a friend's wrasse took out all the snails, but left the hermits alone. I won't be getting another one, there are far too many other pretty wrasses to get.

I guess thats the problem with fish!!!! They die!!!!! sometimes it's unexplainable!!! It happens to all of us....I have a six line that has chased 3 supermale lineatus wrasses to death one by one they all bit the dust........lesson learned....i would of had 1000 dollars in coral...that i would at least have something to show for.....FISH are OVERRATED hahaha

I've never had a problem with my Mystery Wrasse. It doesn't bother any other fish. In fact, I've seen the Secretive and the Melanarus wrasses pick on him a few times. I think it's all a luck of the draw.

Its my favorite fish, and un matched in beauty.
Me too... by far my favorite wrasse but with the additions of small pricey angels on the way I don't think I'll be transferring mine into my new tank... sad, but true. I've never ran into a fish vs. Mystery problem (yet), but I dont want to either.

I was gone for about 10 days last week and when I returned home I noticed my cleaner shrimp was gone...it was 2-3X the size of the wrasse... Now I tell him he's such a wrasse-hole!
