Last night when I got home from work (very late at night) I opened up my aquarium cabinet (forgot to put my skimmer cup back on the skimmer and just left it on the counter for some reason), and when I did I noticed a plastic smell and what I thought might be a thin layer of smoke. . .

Turns out my AI light controller was melting. . .

Yea had something simalar happen on my 75 gal.. the hob skimmer started leaking and the water went down and got into the power strip.

When I was going to bed I decided I needed to find a little package I had to make shure it hadn't gotten thrown out. I walked by the tank and smelt the burning. 5 minutes of searching and insaw it.

Somehow the little slide protect things on the strip had gotten blown 10 feet away.
