Dear reef members , I need your help. I'm starting with Fowlr about 7 years and started reef corals around 2 years, my problems is my polyps, sea fans, Cauliflower Colt Cora and Mushroom Leather Coral cannot keep too long, pls teach me.

What lighting are you using? Do you have values for Calcium, Alkalinity, Magnesium, Specific Gravity, Temp, Nitrates?

PH - 8.2

What lighting are you using? Do you have values for Calcium, Alkalinity, Magnesium, Specific Gravity, Temp, Nitrates?


Ammonia - 0
Calcium - 500
PH - 8.2
dKH - 9.9
NO2 - 0
Magnesium - 1500
Temp - 25c
Specific gravity - 1.025

are you dosing and if so, why? your numbers seem high. with all softies you probably don't need to dose anything. I have softies and a few lps in my 120 gal. and I don't dose anything. going on two years and so far everything is good.

Like 3dees said, no need to dose for Softies. Shrooms does not need much light and less flow. The rest, medium light and medium/indirect flow. Little presence of Nitrates would not hurt, 5-10?

Any other Corals besides you mentioned above? If there are no others like LPS or SPS. Would suggest to stop dosing, with your water change it should be enough for the Corals you have/had.
Btw, How big is the tank?
