So after some decisions I have decided on a few uogrades but not sure exactly on all of them.

First will be a lid. This will seal the front area and lower evaporation. I went ahead and added an air pump as well to back chamber inside filter sock. This will help with oxygen exchange.

Next will be a different pump. I want something I can adjust without pulling out and dissassembling the return. I am limited to 3.5 by 3 inches. My options so far are:

Innovative Marine Mighty Jet Mini

or

Hygger DC1500

The other upgrade will be lighting. My AI prime HD lights still work fine, but want something a little cleaner. I will probably wait till or after Macna. New lights should be released then. Currently looking at an AI blade grow and glow. Will have to see what comes out.

went ahead and ordered a lid from Octo Aquatics today from @cromag27 . Ordered a solid piece with no vents or cut outs. This should stop most the evaporation. Back chamber lid has a slot and I have also added an air pump to the filter sock overflow chamber. This will add more oxygen and keep up with exchange.

Tank is still doing well. Not any real updates. Some spots of algae on back wall. But very minor. Feather dusters are growing and multiplying. I did have a ahrimp loss. While doing water change, one of the shrimp jumped out of net and I did not see. I will need to be more careful. Make clear container to hold so I can visually see.

Pups recovery is going well to. She is putting more and more weight on her knee and will have her first x ray in 2 weeks. Praying everything is still in right place and healing properly.

Following along and it sounds like you need a larger pump for the IM SpinStream to work properly. Spec from IM website for the SS is... Intended for use with flow rates between (52-600) gallons per hour

Sicce makes many compact pumps well under your 3.5 x 3 size requirement.
For your tank size a Micra Plus 158GPH should be plenty since your going to lose some GPH due to the SS, but enough for good circulation while not over powering. 1.69 x 2.24 x 2.04
Mimouse 82GPH 1.65 x 2.3 x 1.81 or 90GPH 1.69 x 2.24 x 2.04

Thank you for those suggestions. I guess I forgot to link thread I created for pump Ideas to update people. Those are deffinetly good choices and aolid as well. But Im looking for outside control. Thank you for the flow requirements for spine stream. Here was thread I createx with ideas as well with controllers. It will be another month or 2. Sigma 600 currently that came is rated 158 same as referenced. These are good for people who want simple replacement. Thank you.

Water change wrnt a bit off today. I realized there was a platform in the middle chamber. This was raising the heater higher. While removing, I thought it would be quick in and out. Took out the heater also thinking I unplugged. The platform was put in wrong and I had to take out an adjustable baffel. When I finally fixed and put back in I heard a sizzle sound.

Due to an issue with severe brain fog yesterday I was still out of it today and grabbed the heater burning my palm. The sizzle noise was the airline tube it was laying on. I was lucky i wasnt seriously burned or caused a fire. Everything was put back fine and working.

The container is working as planned for the shrimp as well during water change.

I ended up lifting the frogspawn higher to create more room below. Will place the plate more center, the gonis I may mount back wall or temporarily place in front of the elegance. Blasto may go by the coral skeleton where ill slide to left or right more. I may also combine the 2 gonis onto the same holder as well. I still want to keep simplicity.

Picture is a few minutes after placing frogspawn so not fully open. It isnt glued down yet and dont like the idea but helps give the loft needed to grow.

while our pup was getting her knee Xrayed, we went to eat and stopped by my LFS where @BuddhaReef is. Picked this piece up not for the coral but for the diversity. Various sponges, small asterina stars and snails, even found a small clam on bottom. Even though the tank is simple, I still like diversity. I swapped out the skeleton and put the macro algae on the pipe organ coral. Did need to clean some bubble algae off. May move this coral to the back. The bag helps to magnify everything.

Using normal camera mode and orange lens from the glasses. I usually edit to actually show more of what I see. But this shows the amount of colorwithout anything other than orangeglasses.

Corals came today from @AquaSD. The corals started opening but was time for water change. Here are the corals tonight as everything is still opening backup.

Plate coral is really nice just a little more greener than this but still super nice.
