Currently I have a chalk bass and I’m gonna add my 2 occelaris clowns and 6 chromis and a royal gramma. I’m thinking about adding a melanarus wrasse eventually and I saw a beautiful orange tail damsel but I’m very on the fence because of aggression. I have a very good filtration fleece roller and Red Sea skimmer.

Does anyone have any input on what I’m thinking ab stocking my tank with? I would love to here opinions on the orange tail or the wrasse because I don’t know enough ab them.

I would think your total intended number of fish (10-11?) seems like a lot for the tank size, and also 2 wrasse in a tank that size may lead to serious aggression.

How do you like the Reefwave? Can I ask what settings you are running for it? I have found that it seems to be a little overpowering for this tank size and getting the flow for some of my softies has been tricky based on settings and placement of the head.

I run it at 20% and random wave setting. I have softies placed towards the reefwave on the bottom so by the time the flow gets to them it’s much less. My zoas and mushroom corals are doing great.

As you can see in the picture the zoas are on the bottom right rock under the reefwave.

Update on my tank. I added some fish and ended up having a uronema outbreak so my course of action right now is continue to Monitor the fish that weren’t affected and add one fish at a time while being careful to choose fish at the lfs. I have done much research on uronema since then and will keep updating on my process of adding fish to a tank that has uronema so people can use it in the future cause there is very little information.

The fish that got uronema were ofc the chromis. I have decided to add way less fish in total than what I was gonna add before.
What I want to continue to add throughout the next few months is another chalk bass, royal gramma, and melanarus wrasse. That would total 6 fish and probably would not add more than that until way later if I did at all.
