How’s it going reefers !
Recently just snagged a AIO Nuvo 40.
I am going to try out the BRS/WWC Hybrid cycle method as seen on their YouTube channel . It is now about week 5 and some white particles have been on top of the water column for about 2 weeks now .How can I get rid of it ?
should I replace my skimmer section with a filter sock?
When I added my water and dr Tim’s I have also added a cube my mysis shrimp to help with the bacteria process
I am running a Eshopps nano skimmer that I turned on about a week after adding Dr Tim’s .
I will be running a AI HYDRA 32HD in about 3/4 weeks . And will add a pair of gladiator clowns
Can someone help identify what I have on the water column ? I’m guessing it’s calcium but I’m just not too sure and cannot find something that resembles it quite accurately.
These are my current water parameters :

Calcium 546ppm

Alkalinity 9.4

Phosphate 0.12

PH 7.85
See the attached photos !
Any and all help will be appreciated !

5 weeks in? Have you tested for nitrate and ammonia? Some filter floss in the AIO chamber will take care of particulates.

Yes Ammonia is at 0/0.25
Nitrates I have not tested as my kits haven’t came in yet unfortunately

I would take a sample to your LFS. If you have nitrate in the system, do a large water change to get the numbers to an acceptable level and get a fish or 2 afterward.
