Well good, I'm sure he has quite a bit more experience. I ask my dads opinion on most the work I do before I do it. 2 brains are usually better than 1 lol

Attention all follow reef2reef members who have been following our progress. After 3 tries to do the pluming on our own we called it quits and called a professional in. We are glad to say that we are finally Filling it with RO SW. About time RIGHT!!!!

Yeah it didn't help having my dad com over. I noticed the only thing we did wrong was we didn't sand the pipe and they used a higher quality of glue. PICS WILL FOLLOW ARE FILLING.

SAD SAD NEWS TODAY PEOPLE. Our Tank is leaking again. The bulkheads are stripped and need to be replaced. The nut heads for the bulkheads are stripped as well. Any idea on how to get them off. The dummy plumber thought he would be helpful and tighten them for us and in the process stripped the nut heads.

Good lord nothing is going y'all way with this build is it? Try using an adjustable wrench. If you can't grip the bulkheads with that try using a utility knife to make spots for the wrench to grip onto.

Yeah, it's been a rough ride T-T I'm not usually one to give up, but this tank has really taken it out of both of us. I want so bad to start over with a new tank that's properly drilled and everything....

So we did it we started over with a new/used 165. Paid as much as we did last time. But this was all plumbed and we saw it running. We also got a skimmer 200+lbs in live rock. A chiller and even a snowflake eel which I've been wanting for awhile.

Yeah were pretty stoked. Now we just have to get the sand out from under the o ring on the bulkhead and we can tighten them back up.

Aaaand a pipe got cracked. >.<
Thankfully, it should be easily fixed. Once that's in order, hopefully...
