I got the jebao 1500 for my nuvo fusion 15 since i got the rfg nozzle. Im wondering how i can connect the elbow with the slip through clear piece to the pump. The does seems to fit with effort. I can try heating it but i wanted to see if anyone had ideas or what they did.
The parts in the photo appear to be different sized hose barbs. I can't tell for sure what kind of material the clear piece is made from... How does it attach to the black tubing? If that's a secure fit, then I'd use a (very) short piece of black tubing to connect the other side of the elbow to the pump
So the four fittings are two 5/8 and two 3/4. The tube requires 1/2".
So i have pics showing there elbow with the clear end glued or attached. That clear end goes through the return hole.
The little black tube is what went to stock pump.
I managed to tightly squeeze the tube inside the 3/4 hole but idk how solid it is. I mean its tight but thats not a good connection imo.
So, if I understand correctly, the problem has nothing to do with the clear elbow - that, and the tubing, came with the tank. The problem is that the pump you chose has a larger connector than the original. The tube needs to go OVER the barb that's screwed in to the pump, not inside it. Assuming you want to continue with the new pump, you'll need to get a piece of tubing that fits over the pump barb, and a reducer that has different sized barbs on each side, to connect the two different diameter tubes. You'll probably need to shorten the original tube length to accommodate the added tubing and connector.
Hose barbs are used with flexible tubing and the barbs grip the inside of the tube to create a seal. Use these nylon fittings for applications like water lines to tanks, garden hoses, lab equipment and
Why does BRS recommend this? The Syncra Silent line of pumps come in many different sizes and will fit most tank needs. Sicce uses high quality magnets in their pumps, which allows them to spin smoother with less noise than almost all other pumps in their price category. If your tank needs a...
