I’ve had these three tangs together for the last 7 years. A white cheek, a kole and a Purple. They have been great! Until this morning I come out to find the Purple being beat on by the other two. I had no problems catching the purple and moved him over to my 80 which is not ideal for him but if I left him in the big tank I’m pretty sure the other two would have killed him.

The current tank is a 220Gish that has been running for the last 4 years, an upgrade from a glass 200 that sprung a leak. Anyway, I haven’t changed anything in it for years, all the same other fish and rock work. Same feeding schedule.

Anyway, has anyone else had their old tangs suddenly turn on each other?

yikes!! I haven't had that happen because I've never had a system up that long, but sorry to hear that... I think your purple should be just fine in your 80 :)
