So. I have 7 gallons reef tank for about 3 months. Trying to hold stable parameters, but today after test i saw 0 NO3, and 0.03 PO4.
With lower PO4 i am happy(using RowaPhos in bag)
But why NO3 dropped to 0 in 1 day? Last test i did yesterday and result are:
Ca 415
Mg 1275
Kh 8,3
NO3 5(yesterday), checked today-0
PO4 0,25(yesterday), checked today 0,03
Salinity 1,025
Don't know is it connected, but since yesterday water became opaque( thinking about bacteria bloom). 4 days ago i did 10% water change. After change i use macrobacter 7 and dosage to much. Could it be connected with opaque water?
Can i increase NO3 with Aqua Rebell Makro Basic Nitrat?( using it for fresh water aqua)
Thanks for help

Nitrate tests can fail sometimes. The high range Hanna Checker reagent quality can be an issue. Not shaking the reagents and test samples can result in low results. What brsnd of nitrate are you using? Have you tried repeating the test?

My best guess…Not a 100% sure but this test has a range of 0-150 ppm nitrate. Like the API test system, great for a quick approximation, but I would not fully trust the accuracy of this test. This means that nothing really happened, just a variation in the analytical method,

Just grow it: Have you ever added CO2 to your reef tank?
