Petco rescue, two tangs

I finally picked up the new 120 this weekend and just wanted to share my progress so far. I'll start a build thread on it when I get a little further along. This upgrade wouldn't have been possible for a long time if it wasn't for everyone here

Amazing progress!!! I didn’t realize the new tank was gonna be so big, I might need to provide another heater to keep up with everything.

I have no gone through all of the last 15 pages or so. Are you good on equipment?

Thank you! Originally it was going to be a used 75 but the person who was selling it never showed up so I decided to take what everyone donated and upgrade to the largest tank I could fit and replace my 55. I'm going to be able to reuse most of my equipment but I do need to get a few more things. Joe at Fish World (my lfs) is letting me borrow a larger return pump until I can afford to buy a new one but besides that I still need to get a net top, some T5 bulbs, and some more supplies from lowes

I can't wait to see your build thread! I have a 120 as well, and I love the dimensions! The 24" depth (front to back) is an absolute godsend for aquascaping. Keep up the great work, and thanks for keeping the thread updated so often!

I have some disheartening but not devastating news; Baby Dory was completly out of hypo (I slowly took her out over about 3 weeks). There must have been some cross contamination, even though I was extremely careful with hand washing, sterilizing, etc, I saw her fins were looking a little tattered so I just did a freshwater dip and found the flukes are back. I'm putting her into hypo again;Rage

OMG! That’s insane! What else Han you do at this point?

I'm really thinking it was cross contamination from my dt even though I was careful, I was taking on a lot running a few qts and taking care of the display so I must have done something. I didn't do a freshwater dip after the first round of hypo but with how much she was improving I'm pretty sure they were gone until I reintroduced them. I'm just going to have to do it again and be even more careful this time

I ended up having them in my dt also, I'm pretty sure they were transferred back to baby Dory somehow after taking her out of hypo. My remaining fish are in qt also, I'm doing hypo on everyone now

I appreciate that, so far everyone else is doing ok. I finished the countertop a little while ago and now I'm doing water changes. A friend of mine is coming in the morning to put my carpet back down
