@Randy Holmes-Farley if my ph lets say is 8.2 and then you go on vacation and it goes to 8.4 due to no one in home and less co2 accumulation,. Is there a correlation such as for every . 1 ph increase there is a certain percentage increase in alkalinity.

Of course every time i am out of the home my alk consumption goes fairly up and then lowers a bit when i am back home. So i am trying to fins whats s good middle ground for kalk dosing to maintain.

I do not believe one can make a mathematical equation out of it. Too many different inputs to demand with likely different dependence on pH. It may vary a lot tank to tank.
