Phytoplankton dosing instructions..how much and what equipment to leave on or turn off?

Hello,

I am new to Phyto dosing. I just bought some copepods that will need to be fed. I have a 3yr old 90gl tank with a Dino invasion (LCA). I was wondering what the preferred dosing amount is per day/ how often, and what equipment should be running or shut off during my dosing?

Dosing, it really depends. What Phyto are you dosing? I feed two turkey basters, three times a day in my 40g, but I use Phyto to feed my whole tank. @ReefLegends probably has the exact formula.
Technically most Phyto will pass through filter socks/fleece, most Phyto being under 25µ. Unless they are clogged up with stuff. I just feed when I turn off the pumps when I feed the fish.

To get the most out of phytoplankton, you’ll want to turn off your return pump and let it flow around the tank, like broadcast feeding. If you have a live phytoplankton you’ll reduce your nitrate and phosphate by leaving your pump off for 30-90 minutes.
