Here’s a video for anyone that’s able to pull it up. The spots present as sort of tuft like. Can ich survive the free swimming stage in copper??
Secondary bacterial lesions often confused with ich are possible but still appear to be Mucus cones

I don’t see strings but do you think the ich is a strain that can survive copper? I have kept a very stable copper level of 2.3. If it is what alternate approach do you think I should take?
Assuming you are using chelated copper such as Coppersafe, you can raise to 2.35 and allow it to work. Copper starts to work at 2.0 and at lower levels will take longer to address the cysts and maintain the copper level for full 30 days

It’s been stable at 2.34 I guess so 0.01 off your suggestion. I suppose I could stick it out for 9 more days. If it doesn’t work though do you think I should try something else? A friend of mine said the tang looks like it’s getting lateral line disease from stress which is making me nervous.

In other words, keep treating with copper for at least the full 30 days .
