hope you take a look at the stickied forum I started on where to get diy stuff. (later edit: you must have already. It's unstickied LOL)

This is worth much more than my usual .02

Thanks for the comments.

I just thought the two part sticky had too much distracting discussion about purity of magnesium chloride deicers. I think most people buy the ingredients from places like BRS now anway.

Randy, very impressive background. I just switched to R2R myself but I have read a lot of your posts on that other forum.

I am setting up a new SPS system and have learned a lot from your posts. I have a degree in biology, so what you say makes sense.
Thank you for all the time you spend helping us with our chemistry inquiries.

Thanks everyone. I'm happy to be part of the R2R team!

My plan is to respond to every thread in this forum, and to selectively respond to threads in other R2R forums that I think I can help with, or where I am simply interested in the subject.

One of the things I'll be doing over the next couple of days is putting together a description of my system and posting it here, since I expect some folks will be interested in what methods I elect to use myself. I'll also be putting together some articles for R2R, but they will take a little longer.

I'll also sometimes try to make the Reef Chemistry forum fun in various ways since it can be a tedious, if necessary, topic for many.

FWIW, folks should just call me Randy.

I hope you find the forum useful!

Happy Reefing!

Hey Randy!
Good to see you around the boards.

Best wishes,
Moe

I'm very excited and am looking forward to more articles coming from Randy in the future here at R2R. I've read the lions share of what he has already penned on reef keeping; his perspective & insights are beyond valuable and informative! R2R members will benefit greatly from Randy's input.

Yea I think their cheap 2 part solutions are what really put them on the map.

Great to see you here Randy. I've been reading your articles and posts on different forums for many years and were always full of great information. I've always run about the same setup as you because I figured if Randy's doing it, as smart as that guy is, then I'll try it lol. Again, good to see your posts here.
