looking good...

did you stabylize the piping with anything besides zips? i was paranoid about somehting wearing from pressure and vibration and stabylized all my piping with metal braces.

did you cook new rock and add it yet? what about sand? did you cook it somehow and add it? any cycling? i'm plotting an upsize this winter and these are a couple concerns.

This was just a mock up to get the cuts. I used braces attached to the stand. I used my established rock from my 150 and rock that had been in my sump for years (thus no color to some of the rock) I slowly removed all the coral from the 150 and placed in the sand bed of the 150. I took a 18 gallon tote of existing tank water and rinsed all the rock off. I then placed the rock in the new tank. Each trip taking water from the old tank and pumping it into the new. It was a painstaking two days worth of work. After all the rock and corals were in the new tank there was only about 12" of water in the old in which all the fish were in still. I used all new sand. You can reuse old sand if you are willing to put in the time to rinse it real well. I keep watching for a mini cycle due to the sand being new but have not seen one yet. Just be prepared to do a water change after a couple of days after the swap. Patience is the key to a successful swap. If you get in a rush you will stir up all the bad stuff that's settled in the old tank
