My main tank is not ready yet but when it is I need to add fish within 24hrs in order to cycle the tank with atm colony that I'm using to cycle the tank.

My first question is I want to get the fish ready in my 20 gallon quarantine tank but how can I cycle it without leaving a sponge from my main tank or adding water from my main tank because it's not ready yet. Can I use colony in my quarantine tank too with 2 clown fish instead of a sponge and water from my main tank?

My second question is is two clown fish good enough to add to a 80 gallon tank for a source of ammonia while using atm colony for my main tank?

Basically in order to start my cycle in my main tank I need fish for a source of ammonia using atm colony but I want my fish quarintined first and to cycle my quarantine tank I believe I need Cycle my main tank first in order to use the sponge and water to fill up the quarantine tank. Hopefully that makes sense

Hi,

IMO ... I wouldn't put clowns in the tanks until they are completely cycled ...
