my most valuable DIY is my stand, i put lots of thought and time and it turned out really great. i wanted a stand that didn't take away from the beauty from the tank and i couldn't be any happier with it. good luck to whoever wins!!

Right now my best and most valuable DIY would be my 2 DIY dosing pumps made out of galling jugs, airline, gang valves, and Toms lifting pumps. All in all it is two dosing pumps for under $50 :)

Second best is my current top off system....a 2.5 gallon jug, airline and gang valve

Good luck!

My most relied upon piece of equipment is probably my dosing pump. I travel a lot, butmy pump keeps my calcium, alk, and mg rock steady!

My most relied upon piece of equipment is my Aquacontroller Apex. It controls literally everything about my tank and gives me access to my tank from anywhere in the world, 24/7/365.

It can do pretty much anything I can think of that I'd ever want a controller to do.

DIY steel stand for 350 gallon tank

66542_953425116323_6222473_50085002_2971666_n.jpg

This is our steel stand that we made for the 350 gallon. We were planning on making one out of wood, but I was able to sleep better with this ;). Also built a canopy for the top, but this is my most reliable peice of equipment. Sorry for another stand post but without this thing, there would be no tank or I could have a huge disaster.
