Yes, that is a thermometer and they loved hitching to it. On this past Tuesday evening all but 2 of the 'not so baby' seahorses went to go to their new homes. I kept 2 of them.

A fish store owner who is very conscientious about their care got them. Another seahorse keeper put me on to him.

Mine also have been having babies every month. I just didn't have the energy to keep and raise them all. The same shop owner who got my young seahorses I raised will take any fry my adult pair have that I don't want to raise.

No, they are not dwarfs, they are H erectus so a 5g tank would not be big enough.
