Are there any substitutions for reagents A B & C? Homemade? So expensive and always feel like I have extra A's laying around..
Generally, the answer is no.

What test kit are you interested in?

I guess why not? I'd like to not pay $110 for a six month supply, which usually lasts 4.5–5 months. It's insane and monopolizes the market.
Anything that would test accurately leveraging the same type of reagent.

While I do not own a trident, I have read many people are switching to these as they are cheaper.

I believe you can buy directly from ABC chemicals also.
