Hi All, for those using reef crystals…are you adding additional potassium to freshly made saltwater? It seems my latest bucket is mixing around 350-360 ppm of K. Thinking I will boost potassium by 50 ppm to each new batch of freshly mixed saltwater. Wondering if others do this or maybe I just got a bad bucket that is a little low? I double checked salinity just to be sure as well…

I mostly use IO, but I have gotten RC when it was cheaper. I never added any potassium. I am not sure that it matters in the range that either IO or RC mixes at. My tank always tests 390-400 on Salifert, so I don't care if the salt mix is good enough, what I feed the fish gets it done or if the test kit is even accurate... all good for me.

I mix to 1.026 - full 50g bag in a 44g brute trash can all the way to the top.
