I recently purchased this skimmer and was wondering if this thing is suppose to be loud? It’s mostly from the motor area its a constant loud hummmm. It’s way louder than all my other equipment combined. This is the third day running it and it’s obnoxious. TIA

Hi, have you tried reseating unions on pump?
something in pump ?
have had many ,loudest was the air intake

I feel like majority of the sound may be from air inside the motor area causing some of the noise it doesn’t seem as loud when I have my finger over the air hose. I’ll pull it apart tonight and re seat everything and make sure I didn’t put it together wrong or something.

just try unplugging and plugging back in a couple of times ,a minute apart ,may purge air from pump/pipe...
