Been using this reactor for years. About every two weeks I have to tear down and clean our slime which are the broken down pellet. By far the highest maintenance hardware. Thinking of moving to a different type reactor. Anyone with a similar issue and found a fix.

I have not used bio pellets but I think they should break down more slowly?

Have you had good results with N and P control using the reactor?

How much biological load does the reactor support?

Sorry, more questions than answers but let’s bump this thread up for discussion.

I used this one for about 6 months and found using the original reef octopus pellets worked better for some reason.
Hope that helps.
I stopped using it altogether due to mulm everywhere. Couldn't stand it.
